Bailey and Emma met in Tacoma in August of 2019 and quickly became good friends. One of Bailey's earliest memories of Emma was Emma using her fancy suit jacket to clean off a firework sparkler for Bailey, so she could light it for a ceremony during her mother's celebration of life.

One of Emma's earliest memories of Bailey is Bailey "freeing" her from a locked stairwell near the HR department at their job during her first week of employment at Catholic Community Services.

They worked alongside each other at a community behavioral health clinic co-located in a shelter for those experiencing homelessness. The two began their relationship in July 2020 and promptly endured the height of a global pandemic together. Together they've shared 5+ years of love, joy, adventures, two beloved cats "skunks", many broken washing machines, and a shared passion for their communities.

Some of their favorite ways to spend time as a couple is sharing inconsolable laughter, making art together, and working out at the local YMCA. They're so excited to spend this day with you, celebrating love, family, friendship, and community together.

There are loved ones who cannot be here in the earthly world to celebrate this special day for Emma and Bailey, but their presence will be felt and welcomed into the space. Loving each other fiercely is the way we keep carrying the light for those that can't be here with us.
